At Linglestown Life, we do not speak in terms of “membership” but “discipleship.” The DNA of our church is growing disciples for Jesus Christ, not members of a church. Towards that end, we have the Exploring Discipleship Class. While this class is required for those interested in joining the church, it may be good for you to experience even if you are not sure if you are interested in becoming a committed disciple here at Linglestown Life.
It walks through some crucial aspects what it means to be a disciple of Jesus Christ. We’ll talk about what it means to be a disciple, the tool of the Disciple (the Bible), the Disciplines of a Disciple (exercises that grow our knowledge, faith, and relationship with God), the Serving Disciple (why and how we can serve God in mission/ministry), and the Committed Disciple (what are the commitments disciples make to the Church as a whole and to Linglestown Life specifically). At the end of the class you will have the opportunity to join the church, if you desire, but again, it is not required.
There are usually two classes each year: in the fall and in the late winter/spring. If you are interested in attending or desire more information, contact Pastor Adam Estep via the Response Card, church office, or email him at aestep1014@gmail.com.
